Bio
A medical mission trip prior to her junior year in college sparked Ryan Balsley’s interest in a medical career. Having a family member with Down Syndrome gave her an additional appreciation for the power and importance of medicine. She changed her path from an occupational therapist and became a certified physician assistant in 2022. As a primary care physician assistant, Ryan is able to make an impact whether her patients are well or ill. She brings her passion for preventative medicine and disease management to the care of each unique patient.
Ryan earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences while studying at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. She earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, La. Ryan is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
