Bio
Shiny Michael has worked as a registered nurse since 2006. She returned to the classroom in 2014 to earn her certification as a family nurse practitioner. Shiny is experienced in caring for a multigenerational patient population with a broad range of clinical conditions. She places a priority on health promotion by encouraging self-care and prevention of illness. Her areas of clinical interest and focus include health and risk education/counseling and providing comprehensive assessments.
Shiny earned her master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis in family nurse practitioner studies at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree at Government College of Nursing in Bangalore, India.

I don't recall ever having had anyone help me get better, genuinely listen to my concerns and have the patience to lead me through what progress looks like. Only she was able to finally diagnose and help me manage my anemia and anxiety.
