Bio
Dr. Dorcas Gonzalez Andujar began her medical career as a physician assistant before finding her calling as a physician. Her areas of clinical focus include preventative medicine, infectious disease care, pediatrics, heart health services and women's care. In addition to her practice, Dr. Andujar currently sits on the board of the Prodigal Heart Foundation in Dallas, where she serves as a medical advisor to develop strategies that aid community leaders in providing holistic health care within the community.
Dr. Andujar earned her medical degree with honors from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) School of Medicine in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She completed a post-graduate rotary internship at Manati Medical Center - Dorado Health Inc. in Manati, Puerto Rico. While there, she received training in a variety of disciplines before going on to complete her family medicine residency also at the medical center. Dr. Andujar is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Running and hiking are an essential part of Dr. Andjuar's daily routine, as is music. She enjoys singing at various music events and serving the community through outreach activities. Dr. Andjuar speaks fluent Spanish.
