Bio
Dr. Simeon Melaku is board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine. Dr. Melaku practices a modern, prevention-focused model of primary care that integrates traditional clinical evaluation with selective use of monitoring technologies. His work centers on metabolic health, with an emphasis on identifying early dysfunction and intervening before chronic disease progression. Dr. Melaku also incorporates tools such as continuous glucose monitoring, remote blood pressure tracking, and body composition analysis in a targeted manner for patients who are most likely to benefit.
Dr. Melaku has worked in the area of primary care since 2020 and previously served as a primary care provider within the University of Virginia Health System (UVA Health) in Charlottesville. He also received training at Harvard Medical School in Boston to treat musculoskeletal concerns using ultrasound-guided procedures.
