Bio
Working as a registered nurse for five years, Candace Renfro got to see firsthand the integral role nurse practitioners play in providing continuity of care for patients. It was then that she knew she wanted to become an advanced care provider. She has worked in cardiovascular intensive care settings since 2018 and earned her board certification as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in 2021.
Candace graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with her bachelor's degree in nursing. She earned her master's degree in nursing education at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas before going on to complete her post-graduate certification as an AGACNP at UT Arlington. Candace enjoys collaborating with physicians to manage common and complex heart conditions and promote improved quality of life for her patients. In addition to being a skilled practitioner, she has served as a clinical educator in the area of critical care. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
