There was a concern I had in my last appointment regarding how the system recorded my notes in a way that was insensitive to my trans identity and my relationships/sexuality. I brought this concern up in a portal message, and Dr. Pedigo promptly apologized and corrected the issue. In my most recent appointment before I even had a chance to bring it up, he proactively took time to re-visit the concern, explain what happened, and assure me he'd correct the notes in the system again after this appointment. With the world we're living being the way it is, I can't guarantee my healthcare providers will have even basic training on differences and nuances in trans healthcare or treat me with respect. I've experienced discrimination at other healthcare practices, and it makes me often afraid to go to the doctor at all. My experience with Dr. Pedigo gave me hope.
